Jan. 7th, 2018 11:12 pmGabriel thought he knew what he was doing when he left his apartment. He'd bundled himself against the cold, careful to protect his face and his hands. He had some things in a backpack. He had good boots. It hadn't seemed that far when he started the walk.
Somehow, he hadn't anticipated the blizzard would be that bad, but now he was in the thick of it and he was too stubborn to turn back around. He was probably the only insane person out in this weather, but he'd gone too far to turn back now. When he reached Neil's apartment building, he was starting to get cold through his gloves and boots. He should have layered his socks better.
He hit the buzzer by the door. "Neil? It's Gabriel. Let a fellow in, yeah? It's a bit blustery out."
