Anthony awakes without being entirely sure what woke him. He blinks in the darkness as he gets his bearings, reminding himself that the (still relatively unfamiliar) weight in the bed next to him is Gabriel. Out the bedroom window, the sky is not quite black; daylight is still a long way off, but it is coming.
